Abstract

No âmbito do Programa Bibliotecas XXI, pôde concluir-se o Projecto de Reabilitação e Ampliação do conjunto edificado da Quinta das Fontes para adaptação deste a Biblioteca Municipal da freguesia de Marvila. Respeitando a memória da Quinta, com a preservação do antigo Lagar de Azeite e a recuperação do Palacete Principal; onde se criou o espaço dedicado ao Pai do Arquitecto, Poeta José Gomes Ferreira, albergando aí parte importante do seu espólio. Os principais objectivos desta dissertação são: identificar o processo conceptual e o processo construtivo desta obra, relacionando-os com o percurso profissional do seu arquitecto, tendo em conta o público-alvo assim como o local onde se localiza a Biblioteca. Referir a importância destes programas na integração de territórios rurais, mais concretamente estrutura de quintas agrícolas e de recreio, em contexto urbano, e por fim analisar os modos de intervenção em espaços de património cultural.

Within the scope of the “Bibliotecas XXI Programme”, the Rehabilitation and Expansion Project of the Quinta das Fontes buildings was concluded to adapt it to the Municipal Library of the parish of Marvila. Respecting the memory of the “Quinta”, with the preservation of the old Olive Oil Press and the restoration of the Main Palace; where the space dedicated to the Father of the Architect, Poet José Gomes Ferreira, was created, housing an important part of his estate. The main objectives of this dissertation are: to identify the conceptual process and the constructive process of this work, relating them to the professional career of its architect, taking into account the target audience as well as the place where the Library is located. Mention the importance of these programs in the integration of rural territories, more specifically the structure of agricultural and recreation farms, in an urban context, and finally analyze the modes of intervention in cultural heritage spaces.
