A inclusão social dos migrantes

Abstract

Em 2015 pudemos assistir um aumento exponencial de pessoas tentando entrar na Europa, obrigadas a deixar seus países devido às guerras, à fome, à intolerância religiosa, às mudanças climáticas, violação dos direitos humanos, etc. Administrar todo esse contingente humano colocou grandes desafios aos Estados, aos diferentes organismos nacionais e internacionais, às sociedades recetoras, bem como a todos os profissionais que trabalham nos vários setores relacionados com a questão. O processo de inclusão passa pelos critérios mais básicos, como o acesso à documentação, saúde, educação, emprego, habitação. Assim sendo, a União Europeia, e mais especificamente Portugal, colocam em vigor leis, estratégias e projetos para que os migrantes sejam incluídos/integrados da melhor forma possível em seu território.

In 2015 we could see an exponential increase of hundreds of thousands of people trying to enter Europe, forced to leave their countries due to wars, hunger, religious intolerance, climate change, violation of human rights, etc. Managing all this human contingent posed major challenges to the States, the different national and international organizations, the host companies, as well as all the professionals working in the various sectors related to the issue. The inclusion process goes through the most basic criteria such as access to documentation, health, education, employment, housing. As such, the European Union, and more specifically Portugal, are putting in place laws, strategies and projects in order for migrants to be included/integrated in the best possible way in their territory.
