Abstract

Existe cada vez mais uma maior preocupação e empenho das organizações no seu compromisso com a Segurança, Higiene e Saúde no Trabalho.

Este seu compromisso com a Segurança, Higiene e Saúde no Trabalho é conseguido, em grande parte, através da certificação NP 4397:2008. O empregador tem a obrigação geral de assegurar a segurança e higiene dos trabalhadores em todos os locais de trabalho e relativamente a todos os aspetos relacionados com o trabalho. Os acidentes podem e devem ser evitados, se o conjunto de pessoas envolvidas na execução dos trabalhos dedicar a devida atenção às medidas de proteção adotadas e cumprir estritamente as disposições regulamentadas em vigor. É pois, o dever de todos e de cada um, qualquer que seja a sua função, tudo fazer para a prevenção de acidentes. Prevenir será sempre mais barato do que tratar e a H.S.T., apesar de muitas resistências, deverá ser sempre entendida como um investimento

ABSTRACT: - The concern and commitment of organizations in Safety and Health at Work issues is increasing. This commitment with Safety and Health at Work is accomplished largely through the NP4397:2008 certification. The employer has a general obligation to ensure the safety and hygiene of workers in all workplaces and for all the aspects of the job. Accidents can and should be avoided, if the number of people involved in carrying out the work devote more attention to the protection measures taken, and strictly observe the regulations in force. It is therefore the duty of each and every one, whatever the role, to do all that is possible to prevent accidents. Prevention is always cheaper than the cure and the HST, despite much resistance, should always be understood as an investment.
