Arquitetura para crianças : projeto de um jardim de infância

Abstract

Focando nos jardins de infância, para crianças dos 3 aos 6 anos de idade, é realizada uma investigação sobre a criação e o desenvolvimento. A arquitetura no ensino é um tema pouco aprofundado. Para projetar estes espaços é essencial ter em conta a idade das crianças, para se corresponder às dimensões, alcances e necessidades do público alvo. Faz-se uma análise internacional, da qual se destaca Robert Owen, Friedrich Froebel, Maria Montessori, Rudolf Steiner e Adolphe Ferrière, principais intervenientes no desenvolvimento dos jardins de infância. Em Portugal o tema desenvolve-se por influência de outros países e de uma forma geral através de instituições, realçando-se a Associação de Jardins-Escolas de João de Deus e a Fundação Bissaya Barreto. Seguindo os métodos dos arquitetos e pedagogos internacionais, já referidos. Aborda-se uma diversidade de edifícios de ensino, com variadas teorias e formas de projetar, que permitem compreender as formas e ideias de construção. As conclusões são refletidas no trabalho prático final, na qual se projeta um jardim de infância aglomerando as teorias de forma a qualificar o espaço de ensino. Focusing on kindergartens, for children from 3 to 6 years old, a research on creation and development is carried out. Architecture in teaching is a little in-depth subject. To design these spaces it is essential to take into account the age of the children, to correspond to the dimensions, reach and needs of the target audience. An international analysis is made, which highlights Robert Owen, Friedrich Froebel, Maria Montessori, Rudolf Steiner and Adolphe Ferrière, leading players in the development of kindergartens. In Portugal, the theme is developed under the influence of other countries and generally through institutions, highlighting the Association of Jardins-Escolas de João de Deus and the Bissaya Barreto Foundation. Following the methods of international architects and pedagogues, already mentioned. It addresses a diversity of educational buildings, with varied theories and ways of designing, which allow to understand the forms and ideas of construction. The conclusions are reflected in the final practical work, in which a kindergarten is projected gathering the theories in order to qualify the teaching space.
