O pensar da forma

Abstract

A presente dissertação de mestrado em arquitetura tem por objetivo aprofundar conceitos e estudar obras com o fito de uma melhor conceção e concretização arquitetónica. Procuramos a apreensão de conceitos, tais como: tipo, protótipo forma, função, visando uma melhor interpretação dos objetos arquitetónicos, conhecendo a sua essência, através de citações dos filósofos gregos aos tratadistas do “renascimento” e a estudos de teóricos e arquitetos do século XVIII até á atualidade. Os casos de estudo são o Pavilhão Suíço, em Paris de 1930-1932, de Le Corbusier; o Palácio da Assembleia de Dacca, em Bangladesh de 1962-1974, de Louis I. Kahn e a Fundação lberê Camargo, em Poito Alegre de 1998-2008, de Álvaro Siza. Partimos do pressuposto que são projetos e obras importantes de arquitetos marcantes no desenvolvimento da arquitetura, cujos trabalhos terão contribuído para a afirmação do movimento moderno deixando um legado que terá influenciado de maneira livre e espontânea arquitetos contemporâneos.

The aim of this Masters in Architecture dissertation is to deepen the concepts and study works with the aim at a better architectonic conception and realization. We seek the understanding of concepts, such as, type, prototype, form, function, aiming at a better interpretation of architectonic objects, knowing its essence, through quotations from Greek philosophers to the treatise ‘rebirth.’ and studies of theorists and architects of the eighteenth century until the present day. The case of studies are Swiss Pavillon, in Paris, which dates from the pcriod 1930-1932 of Le Corbusier, Palace of Assembly in Dacca (Bangladesh) between 1962 and 1974 of Louis I. Kahn and Iberê Camargo Foundation in Porto Alegre, from the period 1998-2008 by Alvaro Siza. We presuppose that are projects and works important of netable architects in the development of architecture, whose works have contributed to the affirmation of the modern movement leaving a Iegacy that has influenced so free and spontaneous contemporary architects.
