A natureza e a paisagem na arquitetura : o spa e o hotel isolado na Serra d'Arga

Abstract

Compreender de que forma o natural influencia o artificial, perceber de que modo o artificial pode captar o natural, e de que maneira podemos gerar uma existência conjunta destas dimensões que crie mais-valias ou que pura e simplesmente não as descaracterize em si mesmas é o ponto-chave desta dissertação. Todo o estudo realizado, ao longo deste trabalho, visa compreender o papel da natureza e da paisagem na arquitetura, permitindo estabelecer uma base sólida para o desenvolvimento do caso de estudo, o spa e o hotel isolado, que é realizado na Serra d’Arga. Numa primeira abordagem, refletimos sobre o contexto particular do território concreto da montanha acima referida, o lugar transformado. Numa segunda reflexão, estudamos a arquitetura na montanha, através de três equipamentos coletivos de diferentes autores. Por último, mas não por isso menos importante, expomos o caso de estudo que é desenvolvido sob o mote, a montanha por transformar, e tem por base o elemento e valor água.

Understanding how the natural influences the artificial, perceiving in what way the artificial may capture the natural and how we are able to generate a joint existence of these dirnensions that creates assets or that doesn’t mischaracterize themselves is the key point of this dissertation. AlI the studies undertaken throughout this project aim to understand the role of nature and landscape in architecture, allowing to establish a solid basis for the development of the study case, the spa and the isolated hotel, which is accomplished in Serra d’Arga. In a first approach we reflect upon the particular context of the specific territory of the mountain mentioned earlier, the transformed place. In a second reflection we study architecture in the mountain through three collective equipments of different authors. Last but not least we present the study case that is developed under the motto, the mountain to be transformed, and is based on the element and value water.
